STREETWEAR ACTIVEWEAR
CONFESSION: I am addicted to workout clothes!
I am one of those girls who is very excited that wearing activewear all day long is now a trend. However... it can go so wrong, so fast. There are key points when it comes to turning your activewear into streetwear. Stylish workout clothing is key to not looking like a bum who hasn't showered in a week. I see it happen way too often. Like girl did you just workout or did you just throw on clothes you found at the bottom of your closet from 3 years ago, sleep in them, then roll out of bed to run your errands? NOT streetwear, NOT trendy! This goes all the way down to your shoes. If you're looking to wear workout clothes to run around town for the entire day, maybe don't wear your hiking tennis shoes that need a desperate wash. Dedicate a pair of cute tennis' to strictly wear on days they won't get dirty, and as your errands sneakers.
These sneakers are the Adidas NMD and hands down my favorite streetwear sneakers. They aren't the best for working out (ie. running, cardio, or leg day) but they're the most stylish and hard to get your hands on! They sell out fast. Adidas releases new styles every so often so I make sure to follow Six 02 on instagram to stay up to date on new releases! They run wide because they're unisex hence why they aren't the best for working out, they're very loose but I love that about them! I size down a 1/2 size in mine. I found some new releases from last week that are still available too, the maroon is my fave. I linked the ones I am wearing too even though only a few sizes are left, in hopes they restock!
When it comes to streetwear I always look at brands like Adidas and Nike- yes LuluLemon is cute but I hate how I go in for a top and pants and it costs me over $200. Not down. Zella- one of Nordstrom's brands is a go to of mine! Thats what these leggings are that i'm wearing! Zella is pretty good at doing fun trendy styles normally all under $65! If i'm willing to spend some money, I LOVE LOVE Beyond Yoga & Koral!

Yesterday, I decided to do an at home Kettlebell workout & almost every inch of my body is sore! What kind of friend would I be if i didn't share it with y'all!? It took me 40 minutes from start to finish which is pretty much speaking my love language if a 40 minute workout left me feeling THIS SORE. I love this workout because you can essentially do it anywhere! You just two different weights of Kettlebells which every gym has. In my case- Austin ordered these ones online. I used an 18 lb for the lighter one and a 26 lb for the heavier one. I followed along to Keith Weber on Youtube - these are great because you can find videos for every exercise I did in my circuit!
KETTLEBELL WORKOUT
Begin with a warm up run - I did a lap around my neighborhood to get my blood flowing
Follow along with Keith Weber Kettlebell Training Warmup (18 lb Kettlebell)
Circuit:
(Repeat this circuit x5 with minimal rest in between)
10 Goblet Squats (26 lb Kettlebell)
10 Kettlebell swings (two handed, 26 lb Kettlebell)
10 Straight Legged Dead Lifts
40 High Knees
After completing this circuit 5 times, stretch & take another lap around the block!
